My Why
People have often thanked me for my courage in telling my story and helping them to reach beyond the lies they learned as children. And they have asked how I found the strength to do this.
My answer is simple. I know the little girl in me who survived the injustices of her childhood would have wanted someone to do this for her. Now I am sharing it with the world. I owe it to her not be silenced as she was. She's my hero and that's my why.
